The Retreat's Adopt-a-Family program provides holiday gifts and gift cards to the families we serve. Because of you, 200 clients and their children receive holiday gifts. That is more than 450 individuals! When you support this program, you are making a family's holiday brighter.

Retreat Staff to Present at NYSCADV Prevention Summit
We are excited to announce that The Retreat's Courtney Hyland, Associate Director of Prevention Education, and Vimarsha Sital, Bilingual Prevention Education and Outreach Specialist, will be presenting at the 10th Annual Primary Prevention Summit, hosted by the New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NYSCADV). The summit gathers professionals from across the country to share and explore innovative strategies to prevent intimate partner and sexual violence.

Representing Human Trafficking Victims (Part I)
Human trafficking is a worldwide problem. Learn more about the experiences and resources to raise awareness about the harms of human trafficking on individuals, families, communities and society.
The Retreat’s incoming Executive Director Cate Carbonaro will help moderate “The Role and Ethical Obligations of Attorneys Representing Human Trafficking Victims” on Tuesday, November 12, from 1 to 2PM. This session will focus on the launch of Suffolk County’s ERIN Court and access to services for trafficking survivors.

Representing Human Trafficking Victims (Part II)
The Retreat’s incoming Executive Director Cate Carbonaro will help moderate “PART II: Representing Human Trafficking Victims” on Tuesday, November 19, from 1PM to 2PM. This session will focus on the collaborative effort of attorneys and agencies in providing trauma-informed services to survivors and how to properly escort clients through the process of obtaining services.
