Legal Advocacy Program
The Retreat’s staff of trained legal advocates accompany survivors to court and explain the legal process. Advocates assist survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault with understanding their legal rights regarding orders of protection, custody and visitation, child support, and other legal matters.
Working with the New York Office of Victim Services, our advocates provide information and assistance to innocent victims of crime for out-of-pocket expenses.
